Designed by Sauli Penttilä supported by a team of organisational development professionals from Finland. It draws on over 40 years of global practice of strengthening both international and domestic businesses.
Who is it for?
LumoMe is designed for organisations seeking to improve the quality of selection processes as well to support organization, teamwork and career development. It is primarily used by recruiters and talent development professionals as a tool to improve the alignment between individuals and roles. LumoMe is typically used as a complement to other selection methods, such as personal interviews, CV screening and skill‑based assessments. While traditional methods focus more on experience and skills, LumoMe adds crucial insight into working‑style preferences which are often the hidden keys to performance and success. The tool helps organisations to understand what competencies are required to excel — whether as a specialist or as a leader — from the shop floor to the boardroom.
LumoMe also supports individual development by providing constructive, developmental feedback and support. It offers insight into both strengths and development areas in relation to a current role or a potential future role, supporting growth, learning, and career decisions.

Questionnaire
The LumoMe is a preference‑based self‑assessment — there are no right or wrong answers, and no time pressure. LumoMe is not a test. While there is no time limit, completing the assessment typically requires around 30 uninterrupted minutes to work through the 112 sentence pairs. Before starting, users can choose from 15 languages. It serves as a mirror, reflecting an individual’s current preferred working style. The results describe how a person prefers to operate typically at work. With just a few simple steps, you can purchase a single questionnaire, complete the assessment and immediately access the automated report. Organisations can also purchase questionnaire packages at a discounted rate and invite candidates or colleagues to complete the assessment as part of a selection or development process.
Debrief
After completing the questionnaire, we recommend booking a debrief session to gain deeper and more detailed feedback. During this 45‑minute online session, one of our experts will guide you through the interpretation of your graphical report and, where applicable, provide a comparison with a selected target profile related to the role in question. This developmental feedback session is designed as a dialogue. Together, we “decode” the responses, discuss their relevance, and validate the results. Our purpose is to support growth by offering a compass—helping you navigate work‑related challenges, role expectations, and career choices.

About Us

Sauli Penttilä
After Aalto University Sauli was employed for over 10 years by two big, international construction groups and thereafter in a multinational consulting group. He started to specialize in organizational transformation, change- and talent management in early 1980ies and established his own consulting company in 1987. Due to earlier, excellent networking, the keys for global business were existing. Within 40 years he worked in 43 countries, in 5 continents. Work was very challenging due to so many different country-and language cultures, but also extremely rewarding. He needed global tools – step by step the tools were translated by long, local processes to 17 languages, as the technical translation would not work culturally. Luckily within the years, the technology developed and started to help communication – still many years traveling days exceeded 200 days a year. Customers grew bigger, global groups and the challenges in process consulting grew to all levels from board to middle management.

Rita Ásványi
Rita, an organisational transformation leader and entrepreneur from Hungary, one of the many certified users of the Questionnaire. She spent most of her professional life in senior HR leadership roles within multinational industrial environments, working closely with management teams across Europe and South America. She is a global citizen in the truest sense: having lived and worked across multiple cultures. Rita has supported organisations through integration phases, organisational redesign, workforce transitions and complex people decisions. Alongside her corporate roles, she also runs a long-established family business in Hungary. This adds a very practical perspective on ownership, risk, cash-flow realities and long-term trade-offs. Rita supports situations where people and organisation decisions directly influence business, leadership alignment, and long-term stability working in a structured, phased approach.




LumoMe is the result of nearly 2 decades‑long professional collaboration grown into a friendship between Sauli and Rita. The tool was previously known as the MCT Questionnaire, designed and managed by Sauli, an organisational development expert and consultant from Finland. When Sauli started to retire, the question emerged: how could this tool continue to benefit the world while becoming more accessible and better attuned to the needs of today? We therefore joined forces to give new life to the MCT Questionnaire – thus, LumoMe was born. The core remains unchanged, while the technology and visuals have been renewed. With LumoMe, we wanted to honour its Finnish heritage, drawing inspiration from Finnish culture and nature. Our colours represent the cycles of the sun and the seasons, with the bright yellow of the sun at the centre. Lumo also means “glow” in Finnish. We intend to continue creating value in the same spirit in which MCT was originally designed: to help us become better versions of ourselves and others, and to illuminate those around us.

Faq
Other than the LumoMe consultants and the system admin, only the person who bought and/or filled in the questionnaire and the debrief.
Individual work-style preference does not change drastically in a short period of time. However a change in the environment or some extreme events may show some momentary disturbances in the results. If no such events are present, the questionnaire results are valid typically for a year or two. Work-style preferences usually change somewhat over time, with experience and with changing jobs and work environments.
Following the completion of the questionnaire you will have 30 days to redeem your debrief.

We store the reports up to 3 years after the last activity in the system. If you wish to download your reports to your devices before it is deleted, you can do so by logging in with the same code and email address you used when you purchased/completed the assessment.
The target profiles were co-designed with the customers’ HR professionals and continuously fine-tuned and validated through practical applications of the tool.
The representative of the company who purchased the debrief can redeem the debrief code, or can invite the person who filled in the questionnaire to redeem the debrief code.
Once you redeem your questionnaire code, you will be directed to a page, where you can select your preferred language option. After that you will be directed to the instructions and the questionnaire itself on your selected language. All other pages and functions, including the reports are available only in English.
